Mount Rainier 27 images Created 29 Jan 2021

A collection of stock aerial photos of Mount Rainier, located in southeast Pierce County, Washington State. At 14,410 feet, the active volcano (stratovolcano) is a Pacific Northwest icon, in the Cascade Range. A common question among PNW locals gets asked: "Is the Mountain Out?", in reference another thing we are known for - our weather, more specifically cloudy skies. Efforts have been considered to change the mountain's name from Rainier to it's original Native name "təqʷuʔməʔ", roughly pronounced as Tacoma, or Tahoma.
